Reports for the purposes of the annual Report on the State of Forests

The condition of Poland’s forests is estimated each year by the state’s authorities. Within the framework of the assessment procedures the State Forests are obliged - pursuant to the Forest Act of 28 September 1991 (Journal of Laws, No. 45, item 435 of 2005, as amended) to prepare the annual report on the condition of Polish forests. This report is based on the data resources provided by the the Ministry of Environment, the Directorate-General of the State Forests, the Forest Research Institute, the Central Statistical Office, the Bureau for Forest Management and Geodesy and the accessible international statistics. The reports which are presented here suplement the already existing Report on the State of Forests and are developed out of various source data.

• Data on environment protection acquired from the Directorate-General for the Environment Protection
• Data on forest fires coming from the fire alarming system working at the Forest Research Institute
